Geoscientists discover surprising ‘deep creep’ close to San Andreas, San Jacinto faults

A brand new evaluation of hundreds of very small earthquakes within the San Bernardino basin means that the bizarre deformation of some could also be as a result of ‘deep creep’ 10 km beneath the Earth’s floor, say geoscientists. They are saying scientists mustn’t use the data recorded by these small earthquakes to foretell loading of the close by San Andreas and San Jacinto faults.
