Markets inch up across Europe

(ANSA) – Milan, December 6 – Markets inched up across Europe Friday with gains of 0.73% at the Milan bourse, closing at 18,124 points. Frankfurt’s Dax index was up 0.96%, London’s Ftse-100 was up 0.83%, Madrid’s Ibex 35 was up 0.09%, and Paris’ Cac 40 closed up 0.72%. The spread between Italy’s 10-year bonds and the benchmark German bund, an indicator of investor confidence in Italy’s ability to emerge from recession, narrowed by two basis points at 234 with a yield of 4.18%.
